About Us

Community Development Association is a non-governmental organization that was founded in 2004 by helping to persons who have been victims of poverty and malnutrition in the south coast of Guatemala. In these years, thanks to the help of thousands of brothers we have been able to help several people that have been affected by hurricanes, landslides, earthquakes and extreme poverty.

Visit to the nursing home

Some days ago we visited the asylum of elderly JESUS OF MERCY, we had the opportunity to bring some food, bottled water and blankets, but we realized that living in bad conditions. Talk with the director and i commented that they do not receive any kind of help and that the elderly often have no family that can take care of.We wanted to share these photos, not to pity him, but so that all can see the conditions they live in many of the people who in his youth gave all their effort by their families, by their place of work, by their homeland and today end up forgotten in a home where the only sense of family they have of the people who care and others who are on the same conditions as them.
